[Discuss] Call for ideas for the new Open Hardware Certification logo

Oops, just saw this -- good question!

Although it seems odd given our like of open sourceness, in order for the
certification mark to be usable for enforcing the open sourceness of the
certified works, the mark itself cannot be open source. We mentioned this
at the bottom of the post.

I know it's odd, but do you see how it makes sense that the limitations the
cert imposes (even if they are simply that it is actually open source) can
only carry legal weight if there's something for OSHWA to give permission
for, namely the use of the mark itself? Therefore, while we will certainly
attribute the ideas used, we are asking folks who post ideas to the blog
post above to assign ownership to OSHWA.

I understand if this is not agreeable to you, of course! Obviously anyone
who has a problem with this can simply choose not to participate in the
ideas discussion.

I hope that's clear, and that our reasons are... reasonable!
