[Discuss] Starting an Open Design community

OSHWA has been considering a rather expensive project to raise funds for -
more or less a "prior art" repository for open source hardware. The only
way it would help however, is if a country's patent and trademark office
actually look at it when reviewing a patent application - which we can't
guarantee.

Under section 4 of this blog post it talks about how to take down a patent
even when prior art has been established, and its not easy:
