I would like to collaborate and throw in the concept of Open IP.
I am looking for a way to easily *public domain* ideas , patent ideas , etc.
so that stifling IP portfolios can be attacked on the basis of *prior art*.
Does such a thing exist already ?

Hey,

I've started a small Open Design community - concerned not just with electronic hardware, but with open development for the entire product.

Maybe you guys might be interested in joining, would be great to hear your voices on it, i'm sure we'd have plenty of questions. Some discussion could definitely be had on the future of IP, and its a great way to post and discover open projects.

Let me know what you think!

How would Openplex fit in that group? (website very in development)

Design vision for company: if Apple were designed by Mozilla and were certified LEED Mithril (elegant, open, and green, respectively; and each as much as possible).

About to test the power of collaboration to design a company that operates entirely in the open.

I'm still very wet behind the ears in everything tech* so this works out!

*(and been toiling in obscurity way long, and finally beginning to figure out how to 'broadcast' development in real time)

Laura, would the group like to summarize a quick open design definition for Nutshellpedia? See the entry entry for open source hardware.
