[Discuss] New Wikimedia trademark policy

I really what Wikipedia has done. I really like the model of the collective
logo. A collective logo is what the oshw logo is, without any legal hook on
trademark, but more or less a hook on the oshw
definition<http://www.oshwa.org/definition/> (which
will only have legal standing as a social contract).

For sake of this discussion thread, please keep in mind that we cannot
trademark the existing oshw logo. When we signed our existence agreement
with OSI for the current oshw logo <http://oshwlogo.com/>, we agreed that
OSHWA nor OSI would ever trademark the oshw logo (here's the
agreement<http://www.oshwa.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/OSI-OSHWA-Agreement.pdf>
).
