[Discuss] Who is the OSHWA, members and membership,

These are excellent questions and personally I'd love to hear what ideas
and suggestions people have.

There isn't a membership process in place yet. Alicia started a thread on
that topic a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the mailing list archives are
broken. I'll forward the thread to the list again for those who hadn't
joined at the time and would like to know what was said.

You can see OSHWA's (broad) purposes here: http://www.oshwa.org/about

One thing to take into account, which was also discussed on that previous
thread, is that there are legal limitations to what a non-profit can and
can't do. So I don't know if OSHWA would be able to promote projects. Even
if it was, I'm not sure how that would work. There are so many OSHW
projects out in the world! It wouldn't be right for the organization to
promote just a few and, from a practical standpoint, it's impossible to
promote all.

Looking forward to hearing your ideas!

Catarina
