Thanks for your willingness to help. The main areas that I could use<br>
technical feedback on would be from polymer material scientists and<br>
mechanical engineers. I think the project is doable, especially with<br>
the collaborations I started to build so far. Dr Pearce is a material<br>
scientist and an advocate of open source in science and sustainable<br>
development. He is trying to locate as much necessary hardware on his<br>
campus as he can find. Dr Kerem Bora is a post-doc at Sabanci<br>
University in Istanbul that very soon will be releasing hardware<br>
designs and software for an open source fermentor and I will be<br>
utilizing his designs. I am arranging to get the lactic acid bacteria<br>
Bacillus coagulans 36D1 from Dr Shanmugan at University of Florida.<br>
The weak areas of the proposal are configuring the membranes for<br>
purification and building a reactor for polymerization, so if you know<br>
anyone that may have expertise in those areas you can forward them to<br>
the wiki page or have them email me.<br>
