AFAIK, no.

The Novena created a few parts. But unclear if they are going to
continue with that momentum or move to some other project that does not
leverege them.

There is the latest version of OLPC.

The Open Compute Project is doing something similar, but just for
enterprise blades.

I wish this community was doing like OCP, but focusing on a modular laptop.

If based on an Intel chip, it should be designed like Invisible Things
Lab's "stateless laptop" that Joanna described.

Perhaps based on an AMD chip, using one of the boards which does not
have the PSP (their equivalent of the Intel ME).

Purism is making their own boxes, but AFAICT are focusing on privacy,
not open source hardware and giving back plans to the community.

Personally, I'd love to have a bulky, thick laptop like an ancient
Thinkpad, with slots on the side for batteries or USB thumbdrive arrays,
and be able to replace mobo with current batch of Intel or ARM dev
board, pehaps use OpenBMC and something like an Arduino to control the
backend. The modularity of racks/blades should be applied at a smaller
scale to laptops.

I wish OSHWA woud partner with OCP to start the OSH modular laptop
project. :-)
