Hi Catarina.

I talked yesterday with 2 brilliant people from Usinette at the PSES
Hacker Space Festival (At Choisy, near Paris, France).
They develop a geodesic dome in landscape:

The way they do it, seems really similar the way presented in your approach.

You also might be pleased to follow what we do in the Atelier du C01n
(Orléans- France), trying to solve electricty production with
mini-wind-turbine, done with not so accurate tools for non-DIY skill
people, like very small 3D printings.
