[Discuss] Translation to Spanish for "Best Practices for Open-Source Hardware"

I would say both.

Personally I always liked the idea of software repositories like PyPI (
https://pypi.python.org/pypi). Websites like Thingiverse, and Upverter are
great but are more on focused on the design files than the whole picture of
the OSHW.

The reason why we (as the OH community in El Salvador) were so interested
on the good practices document is that provides a very good "framework"
that can be easily translated to a template that anyone (independent of the
publishing platform) could use as a base for their projects. I think that
Wikis as a collaborative documentation tool are great, but you always have
to "set up" a platform for using them. Git provides both source-versioning
and simplicity (you can use text files as the documentation or the last
snapshot from your wiki in HTML format) with the plus that you can track
the evolution of your project and share with the community over GitHub.

Yesterday I was talking with Emilio about an idea that they have for
setting up a "open source hardware repository" where the people from the
local Universities could upload their proyects and they are thinking to use
the template that we developed as the "standard" to share the info over
there. The idea is that at the end is going to be something like PyPI but
for OSHW projects.

Regards,
Mario.
