if you compare it to software, every prace that is only partly open sucks (
that is my sole experiemce), it is eader for marketing open or to lock you
to the mainproduct, there are few exeptions, even the linux kernel has
started to be invated by this. i say what is partly open is not worth using
you allways will run in to some kind of limitations, to reuse stuff that is
piblished in material sience etc, ok this is dayli bussines anyway, but to
discuss how much open is open, is not going to help the commumity in any
way openess is about being opem, there is nothing to hide, if this doesn't
work for you i  am sorry but try to figure out a businessmodel that will
work, creativity is a mankind motor and you should use it, amd don't waste
it
