Interesting.

PR criteria aside, this seems somewhat tangential to but aligned with
open-source hardware practice. Its goal appears to be ensuring that
you can modify the software that runs on your hardware rather than on
allowing you to make your own version of the hardware itself. Still,
I'm guessing a lot of OSHW projects could fit these criteria and
via-versa.

This also suggests that it's probably good for OSHWA to be in touch
with the FSF (if they're not already). We seem to have many shared
goals and beliefs.
