One thing I've been mulling over is how we manager parts lists, or, more
generally, part selection in general.
You mention a spreadsheet. Implicit in this is a collection of parts
which the OP presumably has evaluated and likes. This is valuable
information! Why did you chose this red LED over the million others
available? How much flexibility do I have on this diode, so that I might
combine quantities with another project which requires a similar, but
different, diode? What are equivalents at different vendors?
